Original Frankie Stein Doll
MONSTER HIGH: FRANKIE STEIN
Frankie Stein is one of the main characters in Monster High which began with Garrett Sander's dolls and became a storyworld of its own. Frankie is the offspring of the Frankenstein monster and the Bride of Frankenstein.

Mattel produced and distributed the Monster High dolls in 2010. Knowing they be released in 2010, Mattel contracted with Lisi Harris to write companion books about the main characters in the Monster High world. Mattel also created video games, short films, and webisodes. Frankie Stein is the focal character of the first book by Lisi Harris, Monster High, and the first short film, Monster High: New Ghoul at School.

VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN'S IRB PROPOSAL
Gary Harrison and William L. Gannon, in an effort to examine the ethics and moral involved in IRB proposals, wrote "Victor Frankenstein's Institutional Review Board Proposal, 1790." It was published in the Science and Engineering Ethics journal in 2015. The article is clever, educational, and even a bit entertaining---a highly suggested read for Frankesteinworld fans and anyone who ever has or ever will submit an IRB proposal.

Franken Berry Cereal Box

FRANKEN BERRY CEREAL
In 1971, General Mills began selling its Monster Cereals, Franken Berry and Count Chocula. Franken Berry is a pink, strawberry flavored cereal with marshmallows. Though no longer available year round, the original cereals, along with Boo Berry, are released during the Halloween season.

FRANKENSTEIN IN ADVERTISEMENT

Frankenstein Billboard 1: Creative Smiles

The advertisements play both with and against the tropes of who the Frankenstein monster is. The creature is used, without any explanation of who is, because the trope of the creature is ingrained in our society.

The commercial (above), featuring a creature who wants to be accepted by society---just like in the novel, has Mary Shelley's portrait on the creature's wall.
