American Horror Story

American Horror Story (AHS) is a television series in which each season is a different narrative, though they find ways to weave them together through characters or locations. There are multiple Frankensteinesque elements in the series. The very first seasons AHS: Murder House, has a doctor, Charles Montgomery, after his child, Thaddeus, is dismembered, Dr. Charles Montgomery, in a Frankenstein fashion, sews together the pieces of his son’s body to reanimate him. In AHS: Assylum

However, the most obvious connection between Frankenstein and AHS is in the AHS:Coven.  It begins in the episode “Boy Parts” in AHS: Coven, when the witches, Zoe and Madison, sew together parts of mutilated frat boys to resurrect Zoe’s love interest, Kyle.

Kyle continues to be a character in the season, and the audience gets to watch him develop his language and comprehension skills. Unlike the creature in Shelley's novel, who read classic books, Kyle uses a Speak 'n' Spell app on Zoe's computer.
